WilsonZinter Enterprises Ltd. (WilsonZinter) was incorporated in 2021 but the vision for the organization began much earlier. Owners Candice Wilson and Amanda Zinter have spent the past six and a half years working together in various capacities, but the majority has been reviewing projects located within the Haisla Nation territory on behalf of the Nation. Candice currently employed with the Haisla Nation Administrative office and holds the title of Environment Manager; Amanda has an independent regulatory consultancy firm, and the Haisla Nation is a long-standing client. Together they have worked on six LNG projects and participated in six environmental assessments. Through the experience of working together Candice and Amanda developed a friendship and as natural entrepreneurs began to envision a company they could own and utilize for joint venture opportunities focused within the Haisla Nation territory and open to exploring the same elsewhere in British Columbia. Building on this proven regulatory and environmental expertise, the company’s vision is to lead by example and partner with private sector businesses that want to demonstrate high levels of environmental and social responsibility through their projects. An aspect of this commitment to social responsibility is contracting with a female-Indigenous owned organization to provide transparent, equal opportunity, business relationships. Candice and Amanda’s intent is to pave the path for excellence in environment and social governance and to pass on the knowledge to other individuals with the same vision.
